My name is Augustine (Austin) Okoye, the founder of SaBiCoach. I hail from the Middlebelt region of Nigeria, specifically Abuja, where my passion for soccer blossomed. I spent my youth immersed in the sport, eventually catching the attention of Skidmore College's Men's soccer team scouts. Standing out among 15,000 hopefuls during tryouts in Nigeria, I was honored to be one of the 11 chosen talents, with the additional privilege of receiving a scholarship.
A proud graduate of Skidmore College as part of the class of 2018, I now fulfill coaching duties within the esteemed ranks of the Skidmore Men's soccer team. Beyond that, I lead as the head coach at Saratoga-Wilton Soccer Club and contribute to the operations at Rockefeller Capital Management.
Within the landscape of competitive sports, there exists a prevalent gap in individual skill development for athletes participating in club teams. The conventional training models adopted by these teams, often limited to 1 to 3 sessions per week, do not sufficiently address the nuanced needs of each player striving for excellence at an elite level.
Undoubtedly, consistent and personalized training regimens are indispensable for athletes looking to hone their skills and carve a path towards sporting mastery. Drawing from my own experiences that culminated in personal success through tailored one-on-one coaching (refer to my accomplishments outlined in the provided link), I recognized the necessity for an innovative solution.
Enter SaBiCoach — a pioneer platform meticulously crafted to bridge the existing void in the athletic training sphere by connecting seasoned coaches with budding talents eager to refine their abilities through personalized sessions. This revolutionary initiative is founded upon principles of accessibility and affordability, offering families and athletes alike the opportunity to engage qualified mentors seamlessly through their electronic devices.
A distinguishing feature of this platform is its capacity to empower young aspirants from diverse sporting backgrounds to liaise with local coaches, fostering a community driven by a shared pursuit of athletic excellence.
